Let the catching up begin...
Knitting first.
Pattern: One Day Beret by Kirsten Kapur
Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Silky Merino in Rupestre
Needles: US 6 and US 5
On Ravelry, I'm calling it the Raspberry Beret. Apparently, that's the name of a popular song by Prince. I was unaware, but I don't have a problem with appearing more "in to that" than I actually am. I finished this in about two weeks, despite the title. Probably because she originally wrote the the project for a thicker yarn. I love this beret so much, it's soft and really pretty, not to mention that I easily edited the pattern to fit my incredibly large head (always a plus).
Pattern: Gnomey Child's Hat by Adrian Bizilia
Yarn: Plymouth Yarn Encore Chunky
Needles: US 10
I knit this adorable thing for my new cousin (second cousin? He's my cousin Tiffany's baby) Lachlann. This was a really fast knit and better yet, the yarn is very soft, washable, and incredibly cheap (I think it set me back about six dollars). Plus, I have a ton of it left, if any more babies come along, I'll have a pattern all ready.
